I explore corporeality through materiality: the uprooting of limiting patterns and structures, and the need to question and contradict the social norms that condition how we inhabit the body. I work with materials by pushing them to their limit—tensing, deforming, or perforating them—to investigate their possibilities and resistance.
I conceive matter as a body in itself. I think of it and treat it as a living organism, attributing to it bodily qualities that allow it to dialogue with the observer and the space it occupies.
The deconstruction of forms and the contagion between materials function as a metaphor for the time we inhabit: material-bodies in tension that transform one another, that contaminate, mix, and modify each other. In this process, apparently opposing materials, such as ceramics and industrial elements, collide in a single instant, revealing new forms of relationship and meaning.
